Waco Holidays

Central Texas is a wonderful place to explore during the holidays. These Waco homes for sale are smack dab in the middle of some of the region's best holiday activities and events. There's something for everyone here, from the young to the young at heart. It may be a lot to take in, but our real estate agents know exactly where to start looking.

No matter if you're in the mood to meet Santa Claus, choose your own Christmas tree, try some adventurous holiday drinks or spend a night out at the symphony, Waco will never disappoint. The social calendar is jam-packed from November to the New Year, so consider some of these wonderful holiday outings:

  1. Silent House Theatre Company – 1319 North 15th Street, Waco, TX 76707
    Silent House Theatre Company is a local community theater troupe that has been responsible for some of the most beloved and acclaimed dramatic performances in the Waco area. In addition to its seasonal shows, it also offers classes in the dramatic arts for different age groups and skill levels. On December 9, 10, and 11, the players will stage "It's a Wonderful Life" at the Jubilee Theatre. Tickets are available online now.
  2. Mayborn Museum – 1300 South University Parks Drive, Waco, TX 76706
    A facility of Baylor University, Mayborn Museum will be hosting "Christmas Lights in the Village" for its third season this coming Friday, December 9, through Sunday, December 11, and again starting on Friday, December 16. Children love this immersive nighttime walk with countless lights providing a truly festive atmosphere to the historic village area. There'll be a petting zoo, Santa Claus, and so much more!

  3. Waco Symphony Orchestra – 600 Austin Avenue, Suite 10, Waco, TX, 76701
    Waco is a hub of culture in the local area, and the Waco Symphony Orchestra is one of its crown jewels. When the holidays arrive, you can have a breathtaking experience with the annual winter program. This year, it's "Holiday Magic: The Nutcracker." This enchanting classic will be staged on Sunday, December 11, at 2 p.m. in Waco Hall. It's all courtesy of Ballet Frontier of Texas and conductor Clay Couturiaux.

  4. Radde Tannenbaum Farm – 2511 County Road 1060, Meridian, TX 76665
    If you are looking for a Christmas tree near Meridian homes for sale, look no further than Radde Tannanebaum Farm, also known as Radde Ranch the rest of the year. Opening up as soon as Thanksgiving ends, Radde is a premier "choose and cut" Christmas tree farm that serves visitors from throughout Dallas, Fort Worth, Hillsboro, and Waco. It is open every day until dark!

  5. Mainstay Farm Park – 1004 West Bethesda Road, Cleburne, TX 76031
    Cleburne homes for sale aren't very far from Mainstay Farm Park, a place packed with fun for the whole family. This year, the Park is gearing up for a bigger and better Christmas experience that will roll out on November 25 and stick around through December 17. Tickets are already available online for this all-age Christmas Adventure, including photo ops, carnival games and rides, and fine Mainstay Farms wine.

  6. Dichotomy Coffee & Spirits - SPIRITS OF CHEER 508 Austin Ave, Waco, TX 76701
    This whimsical pop-up bar event seeks to spread joy, holiday cheer, and amazing themed cocktails throughout the holiday season. Enjoy a revamped menu with holiday cocktails and  a holiday twist on your favorite classic cocktails. Would you like to enjoy a "Christmapolitan"? How about a "Christmas Carol Barrel" or a "Snowball Old-Fashioned"?  You won't have to travel very far to delight in these, as there is a beautiful holiday overlay that has settled into Dichotomy Coffe & Spirits! From November 22nd - December 31st you'll be able to visit "Spirits of Cheer" with cocktail bar hours every day from 5 pm - Midnight. Dichotomy Coffee and Spirits will continue serving coffee and treats as always during the day, but their cocktail hours will carry that holiday magic through the end of the year. If you like to plan ahead, take a look at their menu here, and decide which crafted cocktail you'd like to try! This overlay is very popular, don't miss your chance to see it! 

  7. Waco Wonderland - Heritage Square, Downtown Waco - 311 Austin Ave, Waco, TX 76701
    From December 2nd to the 4th, visit Heritage Square in Downtown Waco for a 3-day celebration filled with fun and holiday spirit. Enjoy the tree-lighting ceremony & a fireworks show starting at 7 pm on December 2nd. And a holiday parade early on December 3rd. There are many more attractions, food trucks, and events, make sure to visit their website for a full schedule and list of activities. 

  8. Christmas at the Silos - 601 Webster Ave, Waco, Texas 76706
    The Silos, of HGTV's Fixer Upper Fame, continue their tradition of spreading holiday cheer in Downtown Waco. From November 25 to December 30, 2022, you can enjoy holiday shopping, decorations, treats, and even take photos with Santa as you roam through the Silos grounds. If your goal is to meet Jolly St. Nick at the Silos, then please make sure to plan accordingly, as he will visit only on Fridays + Saturdays between 12-5 pm. While admission is free, and walk-ups are welcome, it might be wise to reserve a time for this coveted photo op.

    Did you know that Clifton is the Norwegian Capital of Texas? What better way to get to know this place, the culture, tradition, history, and heritage than to participate in the annual Clifton Norwegian Country Christmas? The event traditionally kicks off on the first Friday night of December with a lighted parade through downtown, and on Saturday, you can enjoy historic tours, holiday shopping, and even traditional Norwegian cuisine!   1. Wild Lights at the Cameron Park Zoo - 1701 N 4th St, Waco, TX 76707
    The neighborhoods around Cameron Park Zoo are picturesque, and many decorate with bright lights during the holidays, the zoo has joined in on the fun for years now! From November 25 to December 31, each week from Wednesdays thru Sundays, enjoy a Holiday Light Spectacular at Cameron Park Zoo. Kids of all ages can visit with Santa through December 23rd. Drop by to enjoy local food trucks, holiday displays, lights, specialty beverages, etc. Please be aware that the animals will not be on exhibit during Wild Lights, please plan accordingly. If interested, skip the lines by purchasing a ticket in advance.
